WHAT A CLASS IS LIKE:
We help our student’s embrace the Tuji TKD core principles of discipline, technique, and fitness, by making sure they are learning, staying active, and having fun!
10 MIN WARM UP
A fun, cardio exercise based warm up. Conditioning and endurance is a HUGE part of being an excellent Tae Kwon Do practitioner.
5 MINUTE STRETCHING
Once the body is warmed up, we make sure students stretch their muscles to avoid injury and perform at their full potential.
30 MINUTE PRACTICE
This is the ‘meat’ of the class - the art of Tae Kwon Do itself. Practice will focus on either Kyorugi (sparring) or Poomsae (forms.)
5 MINUTE GAME TIME
Tae Kwon Do is an individual sport. Tuji TKD uses this time to help students develop their social skills and teamwork skills in a variety of Tae Kwon Do games that test their skills. This also helps develop a healthy competitive nature, that gets students ready to face the “pressure” of a tournament match.
